IEEE/PCIC ELECTRICAL SAFETY TRAINING TUTORIAL AND VIDEO
Coordinator and Co-Presenter - “Arc Flash Hazards in Electrical Equipment” a 4-hour long tutorial at 1997 IEEE/PCIC Conference in Banff, AB, Canada. This tutorial presented results of a series of staged tests and investigation intended to better quantify circumstances that can lead to personal injury and/or significant equipment damage because of an arcing flash. These staged tests were videotaped and are being used as an important training material and are distributed by IEEE. This tutorial and video were also intended to enhance the understanding of the causes and implications of electrical hazards, how to reduce personnel exposure and the benefits of doing so.
